Rising in Disco

1. 1Every unreleased trackTracks on any plan, still before their release date.
2. 2Real pre-savesWe count pre-saves in the period from real fans. An artist’s own pre-saves never count.
3. 3Speed beats sizeWe rank by how many pre-saves arrive in the period, from the moment the link was created, plus a boost for speeding up. A new artist with a fast day can climb past a big one.
4. 4Fans who stayThe share of listeners who go on to pre-save multiplies the score: quality, not just volume.
5. 5Stars from fansWhen fans pre-save they can give 0 to 5 stars. More stars, higher score: from ×0.75 at 0 stars to ×1.25 at 5. With only a few scores the average leans towards 3, so one review can’t launch a track.
6. 6Fans who talkEach comment fans leave in the period adds half a point. Only fans who pre-saved can comment, once per pre-save.

Score = (pre-saves in the period + half of their growth + half a point per comment) × (0.5 + share of listeners who pre-saved) × (0.75 + 0.1 × fans’ stars). Recalculated live. The arrows compare with the same period before. The faster a track climbs, the faster its listens sell out: that’s the moment to listen, and the moment to share.
