About Presave
Made by an artist, for the moment before release.
Presave started with one musician, one EP and a simple wish: to let fans hear the music once, before anyone else.
About me

It started with my own release
I’m Heitor Alves, and I make music as Halves: a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Pernambuco, now based in Dublin.
When I was getting ready to release my EP, I wanted to send the songs to the people who follow my work before they came out. Not a download, not a link they could play on repeat and forget. Something closer to a view-once message on WhatsApp: you open it, you hear it once, and that moment belongs to you.
That tool didn’t exist, so I built it for my own release.
Then I saw it wasn’t just for me
Every artist I know has the same problem before release day: how to get people to really listen, and how to get something back for the work while it’s still unreleased. The same idea could work for them, and for the creators and curators who are often the first place new music is heard.
A market for one-listen music
Presave is built around content you can hear once. That scarcity turns a preview into an event, and it makes something new possible: artists can start earning from their music before it is released.
Streaming rewards artists who release often. For them, Presave can be a recurring source of income with every single, not just every album.
Room to breathe
Money earned from listeners before release day gives artists some breathing space. It can help pay for the recording, for new equipment, or become the budget for paid ads once the song is out. Artists can start building a structure around their music instead of paying for everything up front.
For creators and curators, it is another source of income from what they already do best: sharing music they believe in, before anyone else. That helps them grow and invest in their own work too.
Good for fans, too
For listeners, Presave is a reason to discover new artists before the rest of the world. Over time, we want artists to be able to thank the fans who pre-save with rewards of their own, such as merchandise or discount codes.
One listen, heard at the right moment, can do a lot for the music industry. That’s the market we’re building.
